I had been eyeing this Frida Kahlo chef coat for quite some time, and decided to treat myself for my birthday. My boss had ordered me a couple of coats using a company credit card before, and I was satisfied with the quality. This is important for later. So using my own card, ordering for myself under my own name, the website had numerous difficulties with my shipping address. I tried my home address, my work address, the corporate office address, my father's address, my adult children, my three brothers all in different states...None of them would work. There is no phone number for Perma Chef. First, I emailed the customer service folks, and they said to place the order, theyll make sure it gets shipped. THat sounds good, however, if you don't put in a valid address, then you can't complete the transaction. So I chatted with their bot on the website. The bot set up three different appointments with their sales rep, and the rep never called. I must've spent a few hours trying to find a phone number on the internet, and no dice. Even their storefront doesn't have a listed phone number. Finally, I looked them up on LinkedIn, found their CEO and message through LinkedIn. I got a very apologetic message back, but no real help. FInally, I found their number, again, through LinkedIn, and spoke to Andrea. Over multiple texts and emails I finally convinced her that the website was having an issue, even though she said I had ordered before and it should be fine, and why couldn't I order the way I had done before? Because that was for business, under a different name and a different card. I was only trying my work address because my home address wasn't working (and to recap...none of the addresses I tried worked). Finally, she ended up emailing me an invoice, that I couldn't pay online because my addresses were rejected, so I had to Zelle my payment. This whole process was about three weeks long. Had this coat been available anywhere else, I would've used a different company. Once I got the coat, it fit perfectly, true to size, the fabric is very nice, the construction seems very durable, the graphic is, of course, gorgeous. I love this coat, and can't wait to wear it. I really hope Perma Chef figures out what happened and corrects it quickly. There are other coats I would like to get, but I am not willing to go through the whole ordeal again to get them. I appreciate Andrea's tenacity to complete the transaction; she really did do her best with what she had to work with.
